Reconnect with nature with Jurong Lake Gardens. The expansive area consists of 3 separate gardens: Lakeside Garden, Chinese Garden and the Japanese Garden.

Take a stroll down the Jurong Boardwalk to Rasau Walk for a glimpse of a swamp habitat. Then head down to the Neram Streams to admire the biodiversity of the gardens.

There is even a kid-friendly water attraction at Clusia Cove for the young ones!

National Museum

The National Museum offers programmes specially designed for seniors. These take place all year round but what better time to explore them than during the March holidays.

Conducted by the museum’s Care Facilitators, the virtual tour takes seniors on a conversational tour through the permanent galleries every 3rd (English tour) and 4th (Mandarin tour) Tuesdays of the month.

On 16 March 2023 (Thursday), an English tour about Singapore’s Natural Landscape will be conducted. Capacity is based on a first come first served basis and registration can be done through this email, [email protected].

Quiet Mornings

The museum has designated the following mornings as Quiet Mornings:

  • 1st Saturday of every month (9am to 11am)
  • 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month (9am to 12pm)

These visiting hours are perfect for guests who prefer a quieter and more relaxing environment to explore the museum in. All galleries open earlier at 9am and bookings from seniors and special needs groups are prioritised during this time.

Walk-in visitors are welcome to visit as well.

If your elderly prefer a quiet morning activity, a March holiday outing to the National Museum during these hours will be ideal.
